1950 Shioji, Cadillac 4-Door Tin Litho Sedan in Original Box
Only recently removed from sealed original box; very accurate rendition of a four door 1950 Cadillac Sedan. Tin litho body with friction drive motor. Never played with or used. Unusual promo type box with reinforced cardboard base and transparent acrylic(?) cover. The car has a dark, glossy, navy blue body. The interior is red and black. The body side molding, front and rear bumpers, windshield frame, hubcaps, and hood ornament are chrome plated. Unusual three section rear window marked "Made in Japan". No other markings except on the packaging which identify the manufacturer. Also includes original celluloid windshield, solid rubber tires, plastic steering wheel, and solid plate chassis. Until recently the cardboard was still staple sealed to the cover, however someone at the live auction where this was purchase had to open it up for some reason. Size: 7". Sold: Mar. 2005
